The DCist Blog is reporting a great story for everyone who uses the metro system in DC today. Turns out that Metro overcharged people who rode the bus last weekend as they were implementing the fare “upgrades.” Now they’re trying to make amens by offering free bus ride to all of us who have SmartTrip Cards from Sunday(1/13) until about noon on Monday(1/14).
How do I collect on this great offer?
Good question! All you have to do is show your SmartTrip card to the driver on Sunday or Monday and they’ll let you on for free. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR CARD TO THE SENSOR! It will still charge you if you do that. Anywho have a good time!
